A month without a computer

While roaming the hallways at my dirty, low-grade high school, my friends and I began on the topic of Lent. My friends seem to have odd traditions for this month of fasting, but the biggest one is something that most consider simple: No Cussing! When I heard of this, I stated, “I think I’ll try do that!” to which they replied, “That’ll be easy for you,” “I don’t think I’ve ever heard you cuss,” and “Don’t use your computer for a month. That’ll be a challenge.” So, I decided to take this suggestion, and am currently typing the terms. Here’s what I have so far:

No computer usage unless something for school specifically requires this. Anything that can be found in a book must be done without a computer. All assignments must be hand written, not typed unless specified by teacher. Any boring novel for American Literature class must be read rather than searching online for summaries. Email may be checked ONCE PER DAY, and from an iPod, not the computer. If there is an email from Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, or any other social networking site, DON’T OPEN IT! Phone and iPod may be used to full potential EXCEPT browsing the web, or social networking sites.

This is certainly going to be an interesting month……
